FWAP-1550H series EYDFA optical amplifier combiner is the latest equipment of optical transmitting system for PON+CATV FTTH/FTTP. It realizes the combination function of OLT PON and CATV 1550nm after the optical signal is amplified. In detail, there is one way CATV input plus 40 ports PON signal in and the 40 ports which have 1490+1310+1550nm combined output 1550nm with 30 to 45dBm total CZPT . This equipment is well compatible with the OLT/ONU of CZPT , ZTE, FiberHome, etc, and no data lost which owns high-cost performance.

Ordinary erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) has advantages of low noise, high gain, wider bandwidth, high efficient pumping, and stable operating, which is widely used in CATV systems. However, along with the implementation of fiber to the house (FTTH), system C/N will be worse significantly when EDFA uses as cascade amplification. Therefore, EDFA is required to produce high saturation output CZPT and low distortion as shown as 13dBm to 23dBm (approximate. 27dBm is limited) for EDFA saturated output CZPT . Moreover, the gain fiber of EDFA is single-mode and single-packed fiber. The optic of the pump is directly coupling into fiber but the diameter of the fiber is very small therefore it requires a single mode of pump optic. The semiconductor of single-mode only supports hundreds of milliwatt of output CZPT and it is limited by the area of the pump which makes high CZPT pump optic cannot be coupling. It consequently causes serious output CZPT of the optical laser. In case, it develops double-cladding fiber internationally and solves the problem of listed weakness of single packed fiber which improves 1 to 2 level for output CZPT . It then drives the development of a high-power optical amplifier. After several years’ research, CZPT company overcomes multiple technical difficulties, high CZPT ytterbium-erbium co-doped double-cladding fiber amplifier was developed for the CATV system to fit the requirement of FTTH and FTTB after conquering many technical difficulties.

This serious product adopts JDSU, LUMENTUM, etc multimode high CZPT pump laser as pump source and CZPT ican OFS closed beam splitter as the double-cladding synthesizer. Built-in stable optical CZPT circuit and laser thermoelectricity freezer guarantee the best performance and CZPT life cycle operating. Microprocessor software monitors the operating status of the laser which shows on LCD. Once the operating parameter of the laser deviates from the range of set value, the microprocessor will cut the CZPT supply of the laser automatically and the red light turn will turn on with alarm (prompting fault cause on LCD).

WDM Insertion: It is CZPT to integrate the FWDM module if the user needs which is convenient when combines GPON, EPON.
Connecting Safety Mode: To prevent the optical patch cord end face from being burnt when the optical output is connected, enable this mode to reduce the output CZPT direct to 19dBm during connection. Once turn off this mode, it returns to the original set CZPT .
Built-in optical path selector(customized): CATV optical signal has two way as A and B optical switch input,(OPT SWITCH): auto(prefer)or manual(force) mode, auto mode uses path A in rule and switch to B as A is not satisfied followed path priority.
